This past weekend my Kendo club tested in Bartow, FL. I received my 1st Kyu rank and other advance in their rankings as well. Look forward to training hard for my Black Belt test in 5 months.

This past weekend I was surprised to find a Corvette only car show being held on the streets of downtown West Palm Beach. I happen to have my camera with me and took some picture of some amazing classic Corvette. Check out the pictures below and their website here.

The Power of Air

With the rise of gas prices in the United States and around the world, people are now looking to other forms fuel to power the future of our transportation. The most accessible fuel sources maybe what powers our own bodies, air. For about 20 years now a power plant in small town in Alabama has been using Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) to storage electrical power in the form of air in off-peak hours. This compressed power is later used when energy demands are higher or if the power plant goes dark all together to generate electricity.

Now take a second to think of how we could apply this technology to the current problem of fuel prices and environmental problems. Hmm…why not build a car that runs off of compressed air or a Compressed Air Engine (CAE) and ditch gas all together. It’s a great idea but current CAE technology is still in the development phase much like the early days of the model-T. However, like Henry Ford a sole inventor is changing the game when it comes to CAE technology. Meet The Di Pietro Motor (Rotary Air Engine) that only weighs about 1/10^th that of a conventional gas motor and has the equivalent of a 6 cylinder motor with 94.5% efficiency. This small wonder has been incorporated into an array of concepts that include an automobile that can reach 30 to 40 MPH and a range, with a small tank / a single air engine installed, of about 40 miles. This can be changed with additional engines added to the drive train and a bigger air tank place inside the car.

Starting a new chapter: Graduate Studies

Today starts a new chapter in my life, the first day of graduate studies at Miami International University of Art & Design. The next 18 months of my life will be a nice balancing act between school, work and my personal life. I look forward to expanding my knowledge and sharing my experience learned in this program with my business and work life.
